Privacy Policy

This page explains what information UW AI4ALL collects through this site and how it is used.

What this site collects

The public pages of this site are static: there are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies set by the site itself. Page text is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files directly from Google when you visit.

Student Portal

The Student Portal uses one shared sign-in for the current cohort. When you sign in, the only thing stored is a flag in your own browser’s local storage, so you stay signed in on that device. Nothing about your sign-in is sent to a server.

Google Docs and Forms

Assignments, the submissions spreadsheet, and session materials are Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms hosted in Google Drive. Opening or embedding one of these documents is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and by the sharing settings program staff have set on that document.

Applications

Program applications are collected through a Google Form. TCAT program staff use this information for admissions decisions and program communication. As stated on the Applying page, acceptance and non-acceptance emails go to the consenting adult’s email address listed in the application.

Email

Questions sent to ai4all@cs.washington.edu are handled under University of Washington policies.

Children and families

UW AI4ALL serves high school students. The program communicates with a consenting adult listed in the student’s application, and does not knowingly collect more information than it needs to run the program.
