AI4ALL | UW

The University of Washington’s, Taskar Center for Accessible Technology invites students from traditionally underrepresented groups to join us for a free, 20-week data science introductory workshop. To be eligible for the program, students must be rising high school juniors, high school seniors, or college freshmen. At the workshop, students will learn how to understand, analyze, interpret and discuss real-world applications of data science and machine learning with the ultimate goal of understanding impactful technology decisions.

This program teaches the fundamentals of data science and machine learning in a small-forum, providing possibilities for students to discuss and practice in small group contexts. We focus our anti-bias in DS teachings on non-ableist DS, bringing a disability studies lens to interrogate bias and fairness in Data Science practices.
